Maintains know-how on radically driving the cost down of converting lignocellulosics (biomass) into fermentable sugars and eventually ethanol using the well established Bergius method that was used extensively in the 1940’s but not widely since due to its high costs. This process involves optimizing the recovery of hydrochloric acid (HCL) from aqueous solutions and also has other applications in HCL dependant industries. Cellulosic wastes include wood, solids from city sewage plants, bagasse and grasses. The firm is raising capital and intends to license its technology.
