Three new stock market indices were launched in March 2007 by Standard and Poor’s:
- Global Clean Energy Index
- Global Water Index
- Global Infrastructure Index
On an Australian level, S & P has informed me that specifically Australian stocks of the ‘Clean Energy’ type are not in large enough quantity or revenue generating capacity to warrant the creation of an Australian-specific ‘Clean Energy’ index to exist alongside the other indices already in operation at the ASX, which are managed by Standard and Poor’s. The company does however offer a Custom Indices service.
