One of Israel’s most modern and efficient buildings is being built by Intel for completion in Haifa by mid-2008.
Intel’s new development design center ‘IDC9′ is currently being built for completion by mid-2008 and is supposed to be one of the most modern and efficient buildings in Israel according to its designers. It is connected by footbridge to Intel’s existing design center in Haifa, just north of the MATAM business park. Presently, Intel’s $4 billion fabrication plant ‘Fab 28′ is also being built in Kiryat Gat. The new Haifa building will be LEED certified, and Intel’s own engineers have played a major role in ’specc-ing out’ the building for it to comply with this stringent environmental standard.
